hiermit möchte ich Sie/Euch auf unsere aktuelle Ausschreibung für eine Online-Künstlerresidenz aufmerksam machen und zur Bewerbung einladen bzw. bitten, die Ausschreibung an interessierte Kolleginnen und Kollegen weiterzuschicken!

ARTIST IS ABSENT - virtuelles Artist-in-Residence-Programm
Die Nazar Voitovych Art Residence (NVAIR), KAIR - Košice Artist in Residence und der Schafhof – Europäisches Künstlerhaus Oberbayern laden digital arbeitende Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus der Ukraine, der Slowakei und aus Oberbayern (Deutschland) ein, zusammen mit Kunstschaffenden weltweit an einem zweimonatigen Online-Residenzprogramm teilzunehmen.

Leistungen des Stipendiums
- Eine Plattform für Kommunikation und Präsentation
- 2 Monate regelmäßige Treffen und Austausch mit Künstlerinnen und Künstlern aus der Ukraine, der Slowakei, Deutschland und weltweit
- Platz für neue Ideen und neue Projekte
- Unterstützung und Betreuung in philosophischen, künstlerischen und technischen Fragen durch unsere Mentoren
- Kostenloser Zugang für 1 Monat zur ART Breeder Software für Experimente mit künstlicher IntelligenzWorkshop über NFT und die Veröffentlichung von Werken auf dem Marktplatz auf Tezos (POS)
- Beteiligung an einer virtuelle Ausstellung, Präsentation im Artist is Absent-Raum auf der Seite des Mozilla Hub: https://hub.link/3W9nG3v (letztes Projekt: http://nvair2020.tilda.ws/)
- Promotion auf Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
- Ausstellung vor Ort im VR-Studio Schafhof. n e x t des Schafhofs – Europäisches Künstlerhaus Oberbayern
Unkomplizierte Bewerbung
Bewerben können sich Künstlerinnen und Künstler, die mit digitalen Medien arbeiten: Video, Fotografie, generative Kunst, XR (VR + AR), Sound art, usw. Insgesamt werden 10 Teilnehmende ausgewählt, davon 2 aus Oberbayern.
Voraussetzungen für die Bewerbung über den Bezirk Oberbayern:
- Wohnsitz in Oberbayern
- Künstlernachweis (abgeschlossenes künstlerisches Studium an einer Akademie oder vergleichbaren Institution bzw. steuerliche Veranlagung als Künstler bzw. Mitgliedschaft bei dem Berufsverband Bildender Künstler)
- englische Sprachkenntnisse auf einem für die Kommunikation ausreichenden Niveau
Bewerbungsunterlagen:
Folgende Anlagen in einer Email mit dem Betreff “Artist is absent / Competition 2022” an den Schafhof info@schafhof-kuenstlerhaus.de oder an nvair.artist.is.absent@gmail.com.
- CV als PDF auf ENGLISCH
- Kurze Beschreibung der künstlerischen Praxis (Themen, Techniken, Arbeitsmittel) in als PDF auf ENGLISCH (maximal eine Seite)
- Ein Link zu einer Website oder einem Portfolio auf ENGLISCH.
Erwartungen an die beteiligten Künstlerinnen und Künstler:
- Informelle Kommunikation zwischen den Teilnehmenden
- Öffentliche Online-Präsentation zu Beginn des Programms
- Präsentation eigener Erfahrungen oder Realisierung von mindestens einer Arbeit während des Programms
- Veröffentlichungen, Wiederveröffentlichungen und Verbreitung von Posts über die Prozesse und Ergebnisse des Programms in den sozialen Medien
- Virtuelle Präsenz bei der Eröffnung der Ausstellung

Einverständniserklärung:
Die Stipendiaten erklären sich bei Erhalt des Stipendiums mit einer öffentlichen Berichterstattung über ihre Person, Vita und Werke, einschließlich der Veröffentlichung von Abbildungen der während des Stipendienaufenthaltes entstandenen Arbeiten, einverstanden. Alle weiteren Einzelheiten werden durch einen Vertrag geregelt.
Vorbehalt:
Änderungen oder Fehler sind vorbehalten. Falls ein Residenzprogramm trotz erfolgter Ausschreibung nicht zustande kommt, entfällt das Kunststipendium ersatzlos, der Bezirk Oberbayern leistet keinen Schadensersatz oder Kompensation.

- Lucy Nychai — Curator of international exchange programs of art residence for youth artists NVAIR, Curator-at-Large Lite-Haus Gallery (Berlin), communication and curating of program
- Vartan Markarian — Digital artist (XR), Art director of the international project “A:PART Berlin-Poltava”, tech-curating of program.
The Artist in Absent (AIA) program is the birthplace of new ideas and meanings for international dialogue through art. We focus on common issues and topics for dialogues about the digital art ecosystem. The name of the program reminds us of new algorithms and technical capabilities of tools for creating art. In the program, we look for the importance of the artist as a carrier of ideas and the weight of tools that bring new meaning to the process.
The global condition of the last one and a half year had a significant impact on communication algorithms in all areas, and this has prompted many art projects to find a place online. Demand for tools has significantly improved their quality and expanded opportunities. And all this in turn made it possible to work more globally.
In the course of the first experimental program of AIA residencies (Ukraine-Germany), we created a virtual experience with a hall for communication and 4 virtual projects, and most importantly, together with the first residents, we developed the structure of the program and communication for co-creation processes.

The NAZAR VOITOVYCH ART RESIDENCE (NVAIR) is an educational and artistic center with studios, recreation rooms, and exhibition hall in the small village of Travneve, of Zbarazh district, Ternopil region. NVAiR opened in 2017 with the aim to support the artistic creation and the development of the local community. The SCHAFHOF – European Center for Art Upper Bavaria is located on the outskirts of Freising in the Munich area, in a former sheep stable. The location in the midst of nature, exceptional architecture, and a versatile cultural program make the Schafhof a center of contemporary art as well as a popular tourist destination. The activities of the Center for Art include two focus points: The artist-in-residence program and the exhibition program.
